I thought I would add that when I ran the install package, only gave me the option to change which hard drive to install to. No option to select which folder or to find which version of Poser I had.

Here is a screen shot of both Poser 10 and the Poser Pro 2014 folder...

However, when doing so, I noticed that I now have a Poser Pro 2014 folder and that it only has a Runtime>Python>addons>OctaneRender for Poser folder. I do not own Poser Pro 2014 so the Runtime>Python....Octane folder path is the only one in there.
OK - yes, the installer assumes Poser Pro 2014. Would it be better if I simply supplied a ZIP file, and you can copy the contents into the correct folder?

Can you post a screenshot of the Poser 10 folder structure after you copied the files across. And when you try to run Poser with the copied folder, is an octaneplugin.log file created? If so, can you pls post it here.

In order to work out some of the installer issues - you can download and ZIP archive of the plugin from http://render.otoy.com/customerdownload ... MacOSX.zip. Unzip the "OctaneRender for Poser" folder into [Poser folder]\Runtime\Python\addons.

Pls let me know if this resolves your problems.

Sorry for the late reply. I did not realize this expanded to a 'page 2'. :P

I downloaded the .zip file and placed the 'OctaneRender for Poser' folder into the [Poser 10\Runtime\Python\addons] folder as instructed. Poser 10 started up, I saw the splash screen then the main Poser window with no Library, camera controls, light controls, etc... then it crashed.

I attached the Crash Report and hope this helps out.

I removed the OctaneRender folder from the addons and Poser started up normally with no issues or lagging.

If you need anything else, please let me know and I'll be happy to help out the best I can.

Hi Victor - Could you pls try installing the Octane plugin and uninstalling Reality. The crash dump is indicating it is a Reality3 crash.

I uninstalled 'Reality' and that seemed to do the trick as far as getting Octane to show up in Poser (It does not crash like before). At least it can be found in the Window > Addons > OctaneRender for Poser menu. However, it fails to load up. I do get a splash screen and I can always go to Window > Addons > OctaneRender for Poser menu and see it checked. But if I go to the Render menu, there is no Octane option.

But this time I do have the cuda.log and octaneplugin.log files.

I attached the octaneplugin.log file but not the cuda.log file. The cuda.log file is blank and zero bytes in file size.

I do have screen shots of Poser's menu and the splash screen if you wish to see them.

Again, thank you for all of your help.

Thanks - was that with the pkg installer, or with the zip installer I posted above? The zip installer is the folder structure from my OSX Maverick Runtime, which is working really nicely - so it should be exactly the same files. The only difference being you are in PP2012 and I'm on 2014.

That was with the zip installer you posted. I'm running Poser 10 though. I'm running Mavericks as well but it still does not show in the Render menu (see attached).

If you need more log files or screen shot, please let me know.

Oh, I think you did ask for the contents of the OS X folder in the OctaneRender Plugin for Poser folder. Here is a screen shot of that folder from the zip file you posted.

Hi Victor - I just noticed that your Poser install is showing up in octaneplugin.log as 32 bit, whereas my Poser install shows up as 64 bit.

My OSX Poser knowledge is not 100%, so this might be wrong, but I wonder if because you are running Poser 10 rather then Poser Pro 2014, it's running as 32 bit, and the plugin is compiled for 64 bit.

I have recompiled to run on both 32 and 64 bit (but not tested on 32 bit as I don't have Poser10 on my test OSX system). Can you pls try http://render.otoy.com/customerdownload ... MacOSX.zip. You will need to remove the previous version of the plugin first.

I am trying to download Poser10 32 bit, but it keeps giving me PP2014 as my only download option. So sorry for not testing the above on Poser10 first.
