yes, that's correct.gordonrobb wrote:So when you say no more features will be added, does that mean we won't see (for example) a better selection of procedurals?

Thank you for the report, we will look into it.manalokos wrote:This version compiles the scene whenever you change a material from diffuse to glossy or vice versa... this is problematic for heavy scenes.

Unfortunately there is no magic bullet to make things faster. So, no there won't be any speed improvements until 1.50.mykola1985 wrote:Tested it a little bit. No bugs for now! Alembic seems to work quite well!!!![]()
just a question. What about overall rendering speed improvements? will we see them in the next releases?

Stereoscopic Rendering modes specifically (Side By Side) I may of missed the post if this was doable or not, or not going to be added at all.. I understand the bandwidth of information would be doubled but regardless I thought side-by-side stereoscopic rendering was to be supported in 1.5? If it has been implemented my apologies, the function if exists in this build isn't apparent to me in the settings. And if it is possible is it ready in the Maya plugin too?

Stereoscopic rendering isn't supported in the 1.5 release candidates, neither will it be supported in the final 1.5 release.kurtjn wrote:Stereoscopic Rendering modes specifically (Side By Side) I may of missed the post if this was doable or not, or not going to be added at all.. correct, what's in the release candidate right now is what you get for the stable 1.5 releaseriggles wrote:I'm guessing "no new features" also means no displacement?

That's kind of a bummer. When OTOY tweeted me in January to "stay tunedstratified wrote:correct, what's in the release candidate right now is what you get for the stable 1.5 release
