That will be really long explanation... But I will try:

Step 1: Set "Export alembic" checkbox.
Step 2: Start animation render.

The big problem is that I have found no Alembic button nor Alembic export choice in the Menu/Export, as well as no Addon for alembic in the preferences panel . Where is this "magic" Alembic export button ?

Thats the reason why I ask for it ! I don't have this button in the Blender for Octane plugin !

I have to check my install, maybe the update to 1.33 has not been done properly.

Would it be possible to display the version number of the plugin in the render panel in future updates ? It would be useful to check the install.

EDIT : Yes, it was a problem of install. The 1.33 was not properly installed. A new instal seems to overwrite the previous one (which is good), but is it better to deinstall the previous version in order to avoid troubles ?

To be honest, I don't know what I have done exactly... I did it late in the night and maybe I simply did not install the right file ! ;)

I really wish it was that simple for Daz Users. I have been trying with little success to animate in the stand alone because I need to use the panoramic equirectangular camera which has no support in the plug in. So I create an abc file. Oops. It come sin 1000 times scale--so big I can't even find it initially. Once, I must have scrolled ten minutes trying to find the obj., and I wish I were exaggerating . I took breaks. . Even worse when I try to animate a complete scenes. I followed the suggestion of creating an obcx file, remove the static obj-- pull in the alembic. Oh noes! It won't allow me to upload the alembic. So No I am stuck and I have a client who wants me to animate VR in octane.... :( :x
