Hi,

why Im getting such a bad result? Look at the shadow. In PS it doesn't look different.

There is no dark shadow or AO under the car as it should be.

I am using Octane for Cinema 4D. Beta 1.00 RC1 SDK 1.2

is it a bug?

I like your dust layer too was that done in post.
The attachment BikeCapture.JPG is no longer available
Yes, as kavorka mentioned the hdri will cast shadows and reflection all at once such as the shadow from the bike is coming from nearest direct light on the wall. When I load hdri only setting for the environment I change is gamma to a value of 1. Also nothing was actually done about dust, it is simply ground color reflected on to tire and the overall gamma lifted slightly in photoshop. I probably can more realistic texturing to the tires.

In render view the background is hdri environment not photo in viewport.

Are you using latest octane for c4d release and does it have latest features such as the object properties (camera, shadow etc).
What render kernel are using.

This looks great. I've really been struggling to find good HDRIs. They all look good, but there are few out there good enough to cast shadows.

Since you both seem to have this image, can I ask is this a readily available HDRI? and if so, where.
