Between waiting for next release candidate (please-o-pretty-please, let there be visibility in it) and the huge nDo/dDo updates that are coming, I am completely climbing the goddamn walls. This is almost.. unbearable... ugh.

Um, Xmas is over two months away... maybe 1.5 for Xmas.. RC's need to come sooner - or I will be very sad...

Edit: And my feeling that something was going to be happening this week, was apparently something else.. indigestion maybe. Here it is Friday again - Octane team likely gone for the weekend... maybe a RC next week :?: ... :?

No i don´t think they get driectly to 2.0

This is simply what you get, when you have to clean up the whole code, to implement new features! I asume thatwhy they need so much time! Maybe i am wrong, but .............i guess so. hehe

Sounds like theyre more focused on thier OTOY cloud project ( http://www.brightsideofnews.com/news/20 ... tform.aspx ). Had more than two updates from thea render now on their cuda and cpu based engine since octanes 1.20 rollout.

The render team is focused on Octane 1.5, the cloud team on the cloud. One doesn't take away from the other.

As we said in the other threads, 1.5 is a major update, and unlike 1.1/1.2, which were done in a few months, 1.5 is much more work to complete. The first RC is getting close, and we'll be sure to update everyone as soon as it's ready.
