Have you had any luck doing a more waxy/cartoony skin with SSS? More along the lines of what you see in most Poser SSS renders or like this http://fav.me/d658ya2? I'm trying to do a less realistic and more cartoon/anime looking character, a bit like that link, and I'm having no luck at all getting something like that in Octane.

This is my latest realistic skin material, which was originally based off you work http://fav.me/d5y76or, but has become quite a bit more complicated. I've just recently added a bit of a velvet effect to it like you can in 3Delight & Lux to help simulate fine body hair, or surface fuzz as Lux calls it. So thank you for setting me on the right path with regards to skin materials!

Now you got me interested in the velvet thingy.. looks awesome. :) :) :)

Came out well.

I also found out how to do a more waxy/catoony looking skin, although how the original looks in Octane standalone and how it looks in the Daz Plugin are not very close, so it required a lot of work to not look bad. Believe the results will become closer though once the Daz Plugin is based on 1.20? I sure hope so, as it looks really good in standalone.

bepeg4d work starting at the bottom of this page and over the next few. http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 30#p136217

Sent you a mail with a pic of how the material is setup in my previous picture as well.
