OctaneRender™ Standalone 1.20
The OcDS plug-in comes with an in-built version of Octane so that the plug-in and render engine are in step. Access to the new features of Octane are dependent on access to the SDK, so the version of Octane in the plug-in will always lag a little behind the standalone.giovanino wrote:hello

This is a bug in the OCS loader, we could reproduce it here. This happens if you create the entire content of the macro node in the node inspector. We will fix it in the next releasemerid888 wrote:error with macro material, first i export mi scene to octanerender standalone and i work material, all is fine, if i close my scene and open again the material is gone, why happen this ? i add image, i use the last versión 1.20 x64
In the meantime if you create a macro, double-click the macro node to show the contents, then create a material node in the node graph editor. Macro nodes created this way will load correctly.
Off-topic hint: for metals, leave the specular slider at 1.0, and tune the specular reflection with the index slider. If it is not exactly set to 1.0 higher values give more reflection. This way you get a Fresnel effect like on real metal.
