Hi 8Eggar8 !

Behind the curtains are reflections of the arches on the windows.

Many many many thanks for these maps, I'll sure give them a try, that's great of you to post them !

Cheers!

Hi again!
I tried 8Eggar8's wall texture, just quickly, and I have to say that it really adds something to the picture...
So many thanks 8Eggar8 !!!!
:D

I also tried Ivy Generator and put some ivy in the corner, which - i think - contributes to realism too.

I also just discovered a very simple technique that all of you probably already know, but that i just discovered by chance:
using an alpha-map to get highly defined leaves from simple square meshes !!!
Just great!

Here's an update, please keep commenting, your comms help me improve big time !!!

I like, and I'm sure a little more ivy woul look good, also some leaves floating in the water near the ivy, not many, 3 or four, those small details, some debris. But it already looks really good.

Indeed more ivy would look great I think.

The only problem with having "floating ivy" in the water is... it is supposed to be a swimming-pool
I'll probably have to do some more work on the water, or simply on the colour of the pool's floor (make it blue or green?) so that it really looks like "clean" water.

I might change the walls' texture and add also add some "debris" on it (leaking traces)

Thanks for your comments Kubo !

no, no floating ivy, those where to different tips, I meant a little more ivy in the walls, and a couple of dead leaves floating on the pool.
Btw I got pretty good results with white tiles for the pool, and a little blue color for the water.

Thanks, that sounds like a good idea!!!
I'll have a go at it, but I'd also like to preserve the "local-made-inspired" kind of feel - you know, like the basic local houses that are just "cubes with dried earth on them".
Nevertheless, many thanks for your idea, I'll definitely think about it.
;)

At the moment I'm really struggling with Blender, getting to grips with the fluid simulator.
It's such a pain, just trying to get water pouring out of a pipe, into the pool...

Thanks again, keep posting 8Eggar8!
