Ok, I understand. Go for the new zalman 660w PSU http://www.zalman.com/ENG/product/Produ ... sp?idx=315 just to be safe, I'm not sure 100% that 500w is enough.

Well knowing my luck recently, it won't be :mrgreen:
Ok, cheers, I think I'll go for that one then (assuming this one doesn't work - but you never know).

I'm not own 480 at this time but as far as i know 480 made noticeable noise in full load. So may be you can consider water cooled like this version

Code: Select all

http://www.evga.com/articles/00539/
or this
http://www.geeks3d.com/20100414/watercooled-geforce-gtx-480-and-gtx-470-by-inno3d/
they ran this card full load within 40-60C

For how much is your PSU you can come by some PSU provider site for make your match

Code: Select all

Even you can take silence case which quiet and a bit hot.

@9fly
Thank's for those links, that one with the PSU calculator was very handy 8-)

I've already ordered the card, in fact it arrives today so fingers crossed. According to that PSU calculator, I'm just 6W under if I use the advanced tab, and 24W under if I use the Standard tab. I'm thinking I just might get away with it using my 500W after seeing that.

Regards the noise; I already think I'm in for a bit of a shock after seeing a few videos on youtube, especially this one.
And the PSU, I mean Hitler had a 750W and even that exploded according to him:
