If it is a simple pin change that woudl be great to chaneg diameter size to get soft edge shadows

Also an option to use your own HDRI map (or solid colour) for environment light (instead of the sky) would be great.

oh yes, extremely nice, hdr + sun is the only feature that i really miss in octane right now ;)

The manual states "Turbidity can be used to adjust the sharpness of the sun lights shadows" but it's doing nothing to affect the shadows in 1.11 which remain sharp across it's range (and from dawn until dusk) unless I'm doing something wrong..!

You are doing nothing wrong bro... that statement is complete hogwash and/or total horsepucky...
