btw, if you examine the new demosuite, there's a version of the chessset scene with no image textures, and one large procedural network to shade everything.

I see it was a good move switching to the Octane engine.
Yes, a C4D plug-in would be great.

Hope you did get a lot more customers in the last few month?! ;)

Definetly this is much, MUCH more stable, in that I can pretty much load anything that my GPU mem capacity can handle and it works great!
The speed with which the textures comes up now is fantastic, really way faster than previous 1.021 version.

Stable and fast! This version loads in a matter of milliseconds! :) Huge improvement for Linux, which used to take long to load.

I think once all the issues with the Softimage back and forth are hashed out, I can see this being my permanent render engine. Not there yet, but I give it a few months.

Once the path from Softimage to Octane is rock solid, it also will be my main render engine in production.

Your development speed is so fast ... I hope you get enough sleep to keep up that speed..
