Yes, I saw that video four or five times. Its good, but not enough for me.

I created simple scene, with 1mil polys, couple textures, blurred reflections, DOF and HDRI lighting. Using 2.46 DEMO I got perfect render quality in 59 minutes render time on my GTX260. I know, that on x2 GTX590 render time will be near 8 minutes. But my usual render plug-in for 3dsmax (I will not call it name), none-unbiased, gave me similar image with perfect quality in 8mins (x2 [email protected]). Yes, I know, that it looks maybe not exactly so "real" as Octane, but it looks very well. And I have flexibility in it, fast draft renders, and no limits.
And if I am planning to spend $1750 (x2 GTX590 + Octane) to get bigger-better-faster-stronger render, maybe it will be easier for me to assemble two more PCs, with i7-2600K, and reduce my render time twice, than use GPU&Octane.
I very like Octane, and it have bright future, imo. You are doing great job, guys. It's really Cool! But as for me, I am not sure, that I will able to get more features and less render time for my tasks. Octane for 3dsmax looks perfect, but I need to test it in my scenarios, to make right decision.
I waited almost year to see Octane for 3dsmax, so I can wait couple month to try demo version ;)

Besides the fact that a 260 is quite a slow GPU, if you don't mind unbiased then the directlight kernel is really fast, getting perfect results in few or even under 1 minute, much faster than other "non-mentioned" unbiased I've used and same results, yet of course the power of Octane is the Pathtracing or PMC kernels, were all the beauty of unbiased is unleashed without having to wait days for it to render, and with a lower hardware costs for the same or better rendering times, but, of course, that's just my opinion.
