Hi, here is an explaination.
This is images from an older build of my rig, Ive added more stuff since then, like tekkeon batteries and other rear mounts.

1 - firstore fspro 4 D, captures image realtime on a harddisk you can stick into your post app directly and manipulate footage directly.
2 - Beachtek dxa 4s, xlr inputs (2) 1 jack, for boom mics and LEV.
3 - AKG 271s studio headphones
4 - EX1 camera I have hv20 as well
5 - Flip module that flips the image into the camera on both axises with 2 prisms and mirrors + an acromat ( huge magnifier that make it possible to do back focus on the cine disk )
6 - redrock encore m2 35mm adaptor, has a spinning disk inside with alot of grain on, you make your back focus from camera on the grains. the whole setup only looses ½ stop
7 - slr prime lenses, non focus and manual focus. I use Canon FD, great lenses.
8 - Mattebox, with barndoors and french flag
9 - french flag

Image

10 - rotating filter stages for ND filters, tonemaps etc.
11 - Follow focus attachd to lens so you can pull focus from the side.
12 - crank for pulling focus

It costs yes.
Yes I modified the rig for the bench shot so I could handheld it. when it fully pimped it weights over 10kg.
I also have shoulder mounts, and dollies and skate dollies. a bunch of 800w fresnell lamps.

Very nice!
You could do a lot things with this rig.
So I guess you're using this rig for comercial work too, right?
Or is it only for personal use as your hobby?

Regards
Melese

Here is 3 images I took of a small setup I did for a MTV ID spot. ( has CG elements in it, new plugin for 3dsmax called hairfarm + technical stuff )
Made HDR image on my glass sphere on the table as well.
The rig setup is with the hv20as i also used on the bench chrane shot.

I primarily use it for commercial productions, but it happens - like now that I do some explanatory sessions with no aim other than informing on various technics on the internet where the rig is a part of the whole setup.

What is the reason to use the whole conversion/adapter stuff and 35mm lenses?
