Hi guys!
This is my rather quick and humble submission.
As I wrote in the wip thread it's my first work in Octane so I had a hard time
learning the workflow.
I wish there were instances so I could pack more detail into the scene.

|IDEA|

At first I wanted to create a Fallout like post apocalyptic landscape,
then I thought maybe create some scene which takes place right after the strike
of a bomb or a missile.
I guess now it'a mixture of both

THE DAY AFTER

|DETAILS|

The scene was modelled in Blender, most of the textures besides the house and the soil are Octane procedurals.
The smoke is made with Octane SSS.
Photoshop was used for minor color balancing.

@MM, perfect mood, the first one looks perfect, the second one is great too, but too "crisp" in the background, you could create a plane in the middle and use a gradient and turbulence to create some "distant-fog", also when we get instances, a couple more fires smaller in size would be great. I love the house and the texturing.

Apocalyptic angels come in many forms, some we have seen before, others will come built upon their accomplishments in the future.
Scene done in Blender and Gimp. I've had such a great time doing this that I'm working on Apocalyptic Angel #2 that I hope to
finish an enter it also before the deadline. Cheers
