Congratulations!! and count me in when you have the plugin ready for Maya. I will buy my license for the plugin maybe from day one for the beta.

What about updates? Are they going to be synchronized (new version of Octane = new version of the plugin). Also, are we going to pay for them separately for both products?

One more question: how will the plugins handle rendertime geometry - particle instance shapes etc. "Old" plugins handle it when exporting. Will it work seamlessly with the new ones?

I am also interested in the way the plug ins and standalone will be handled. Is it like that you got all in one package (Standalone Renderer and Plug Ins) for one price?

I am very glad for plugin for 3Dsmax, and I very grateful for you job, guys!

But, it`s like that you trying to sell one product twicely. Isn`t it?
Plugin costs same price like original engine?

I know what you mean but it's the same for Vray (if it even has a studio version yet), Renderman, MentalRay, and many more probably.
And since Octane is relatively inexpensive (and orders of magnitude cheaper than any of the mentioned above) i can live with that ;]
It would be nice if one plugin license worked for all the plugins though, so you wouldn't have to buy a new one for every app you use (xsi+blender for example).
So i guess i'd rather see the price of plugins included in the main app and "free" plugins, like the Maxwell Render ones.
