Hi all !

I'm awfully sorry for not having posted anything in ages, but I've recently moved into a new flat and it's been quite hectic around here...
(pigs are CLEAN compared with the people who rented the flat before me - lots of work and cleaning had to be done...)
:(

Well anyway, I'm back now

I'm currently working on a project that will have to evoke a calm and peaceful atmosphere, so I started playing around with Blender and Octane, and in around 15 minutes here is what I came up with as a quick test - I thought it didn't look too bad for a 15-minute job (includes modelling and rendering), so I decided to post it :D

I hope you're all doing great, I'm glad to be back amongst you all
;)

Nice mood. Textures could be more high-res. :)

Hi guys :)

Indeed the textures could have been higher resolution, but these 3 stones are only going to be a small detail among the furniture in a large entrance hall.
So 800x600 textures will be quite enough - higher res would mean wasting GPU resources...

Cheers!

the problem isnt the texture reso,

the pb comes from the uv unfolding.

by the way, does someone know a maya rock generator plugin ?

Hi Hawker, yes indeed I UV-unwrapped the stones very quickly, hence the problem with the textures, especially for the one at the bottom.
Sorry I don't know about any maya rock generator plugin...
