If I set material settings in Octane I seem to constantly overwrite them even if I say not to write materials and not to write to the OCS file. I have to set the settings in octane every frame of my animation, and I can't use the plug-in for settings because there is no dispersion slider in the plug-in settings (obviously since it Just recently was added to Octane).

Any help someone could give me would be appreciate, perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

rebuild your materials within octane using the nodes (so the input-slots of your obj are all occupied) - and save the ocs.
This will lock yout materials and prevent them from being overwritten by the exporter plugin each time.
