today i had this idea due to some other images i did at work.
this is how it turned out. however, after 16000 pathes there where still those fireflies so i heavily used the hotpixel remove

Cool concept, I'm very fond of abstract scenes like this, great for playing with Octane's fantastic natural lighting.
If you want to reduce hot pixels you can try reducing the specularity and/or increasing the surface roughness.

i will try that. but it needs somewhat high specularity for the metal... lets see
