- I was hoping the same thing about the refreshing the render view. Like I said before the frame rate shows, but there is no rendering happening.
- I am going to post this just incase some could find something in this report. Just for your info I did also push reset camera view button and it crashed from there.

So just to confirm Octane should work ok on my system with the following card?

When you start rendering does it actually increase the samples per pixel? Or does nothing happen. Could you please post a screen shot of the CUDA device information panel under File -> Preferences...?

I know its been a while since I last heard anything, but I figured it out on my own why octane was not working. The process of installing is very important. Yet after installing it still didn't work. I think, because of trial and error over a few months, that the update for 10.6.7 updates on a mac had a bug. with the drivers. You need to do a repair with mac install disk. The error that came with the nVidia update and newest Mac update lost some files. Do a disk repair from the CD. The latest cuda and nVidia update don't work so you haft to go back to a later date. But I ran into a problem because the update was older. If you open the folder and show package content you can install them individually. After doing so and then adding the new nVidia updates again it worked. I have purchased octane since the demo works.
I find it remarkable with the help I received, that my machine runs both a GeForce 8800 GT and Quadro 4000 on my mac. I use my GeForce to run my monitor and my work horse Qudaro card to do the heavy lifting. I just want to sent a message to mac users that it can be done.
