As per the thread title. Are there any combination settings that will fully hide the light geometry in a fog volume? I want the light to light the cube and the floor, but not contribute to the volume, and more importantly not cast any kind of outline or shadow.
Won't let me attach the file to the thread topic so I've just popped it here. Houdini 20.0.653 and Octane 2023.1.3.0.

Hiding light sources in volumes
Hi,
The following gif is taken from the Octane Lighting page. It's x2 area lights. Light "attributes" contain visibility options including for one for volume (light won't be scattered within the volume).
Furthermore, there is the General Visibility option, at 0, it should hide its geometry.
Regarding the shadow cast with daylight scenario, as it does not have a cast shadow checkbox:
The following split method will provide some advanced controls over natural lighting:
1) sky only in the daylight environment (sun intensity at 0)
2) using an area light in spotlight mode (distribution) to substitute for the sun, or a distant light; it will provide visibility checkbox options.
