Instead of making editing materials faster it makes it slower and takes disc space.

Hi Bartek,
not sure it's possible to change the fact some files needs to be stored/generated when exporting an ORBX.
For sure it would be great to be able to specify the path where this should happen.
The developer is aware about the issue.
Thanks.

How about having the final ORBX file automatically deleted after successful export? At the very least there should some kind of documentation or a mention on where these files are located so that users unaware of their creation (as I was) can manually delete them. I only learned about the redundant ORBX after doing a TreeSize scan on my drive to see where in my directories there was a concentration of very large files I could delete from my system.

The files are also created when not doing ORBX export. Every time I create material with a texture the copy of this texture lands in the Users "\livedb\client\textures" folder. Can you switch this off?linograndiotoy wrote:Hi Bartek,

The same option to disable texture caching is also in C4D plugin.
Working with this enabled in Blender freezes Blender for few seconds when adding a texture from a disk. Freeze time depends on texture size.

What about an option to disable this?DrawFun wrote:Hi,
Thanks for your report.
An optional cache path will be introduced in 17.7, the coming build.
Cheers,

I think that's something needed so the whole process can take place.J.C wrote:What about an option to disable this?DrawFun wrote:Hi,
