Hi, dear 3dsmax team =)
So, today I've installed the 2018.1 and first of all - it is awesome and very fast =) But =) Please fix this bug =)
Earlier, when we have 1% hair in viewport - we can render 100% on the render =) But now in 2018.1 we can't do this. Why? What I'm doing wrong?

Octane 2018.1 doesn't render 1% Ornatrix hair in viewport

A. Operating System, including version (i.e. Win 7, OSX 10.11.2, Ubuntu 14.04, etc.)

D. Nvidia driver version (i.e. 7.50, 7.5.22)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version, if installed (i.e. 2.24.2, 2.23, etc.)

G. Host application version, including build number if available (i.e. 3ds Max 2016 Build 18.0)

So, to render OX Hair in Octane with 1% hair in viewport - you should do this steps.
So, to render OX Hair in Octane with 1% hair in viewport - you should do this steps.
- Change the "Notify objects on render" as Per Object or All Object from the Kernel tab.
- Right-click on the viewport and choose "Octane properties"
- Check/Enable the Use Render mode
- Rebuild the scene button to use the scene in Render mode.
