Sketchup render animation with Octane

Hi
I'm using Sketchup 2017 and Octane extension for Sketchup v 3.04.4.5.
I'd like to render an animation, where my camera moves between sepatare scenes.
I can see how to save a single file from the Octane Viewport, but I don't see how to export a sequence of images to make into an animation.
What is the standard procedure for exporting image sequence renders using octane for Sketchup?
I see that there is an exporter from TIG, but that seems to be no longer supported.
What does OTOY recommend for Sketchup users to render animations?
Thanks
Thomas

Tigs plugin may not be supported but the functionality still works for exports. There's other ways to achieve an animation but it requires working through a few other programs and possibly another Octane plugin for Blender.

Hi Thomas, unfortunately we don't have official support for any animation plugins yet, but we do intend to support this in future. At the moment we are working on bringing out a total overhaul of the plugin. After going fully stable, we intend to bring out features such as animation support.

There is a difficult alternative and that's to write a script in Octane standalone to import camera animation, that was exported via an SU plugin. I can't guarantee that I'll have the time in the short term to do this unfortunately, but if I find the time I will post it here.

TIG's plugin does not work with Sketchup v17.
I loaded it, and it never appeared.
However, I did have success using the Octane standalone with the ORC animation script.

No need to write another script.
This actually works.

So the workflow to get a walkthrough animation out of sketchup and rendered with octane:
1) build your sketchup project. Each scene contains a camera view
2) export the sketchup project to the octane standalone by exporting as a .ocs (I think this is better than orbx for animtion).
3) open octane standalone and import the ocs file. In the node view you will see all the scenes (cam views) as render target nodes along the bottom of the node graph. Clicking on these updates the viewport with that cam view.
4) install the ORC script.

5) run the script (see instructions for how to make it work. Select each render target node and make a key frame for it (alt-a)
6) open the animation panel (alt -r) and then set up render params. hit render.
import frames into after effects, and comp, and make movies.
works like a charm.

I have run into an annoying limitation with this technique.
Octane Standalone limits the number of scenes that it will convert to Render Target nodes to 8.
No matter how many scenes I have in my Sketchup project, its always no more than 8 of them make it into octance standalone (as render targets).
Is it the case that the standalone places this limit on the total number of render nodes?
Or is this a limitation on the ocs importer/exporter?
Is there a way to override this limit?

Tigs plugin works with 2017... manual install.
%appdata% navigate to sketchup then plugins.. put everything in there. Accessed through the file menu. Tig camera and sun export also install to the same location.
