Hi All
Does anyone know how I can setup a light that only acts as a specular light and not diffuse?
Also is there a way to to make the lights only affect one surface?
Thanks

Hi there =) as far as I know, there are now way to make such cheats in OctaneRender (& all of that because to it's unbiased nature).
probably the workaround would be to render two times with different shader settings + split outcome into passes =) that's where You can get flexibility, but then at double render time, so it depends what You do & if that is worth the effort.

Thanks for your reply, yeah I will have to composite if Octane can't do it out of the box at this point.

I swapped out my Light and replaced with an emitting object and then did what you said and turned off cast illumination. Worked perfectly thanksroeland wrote:Does disabling “cast emission” on the emitter have the right effect?
