Hi
I need help cause im having trouble with all my renders that have glass surface, mainly in exteriors shots. Im attaching one render to show you the noise. I already tried to use a high number of samples (like 30 000 samples), but there is
no great improvement, there is still noise.
In this render i just use an HDRI.
Does someone know how can fix this?
Thx!
Florencia
High amount of noise in glass surface
Hi Florencia,
a good help in understanding from where the noise come from is to enable the Render Beauty and Lighting passes, in order to split the render in different components.
Maybe the noise comes from the quality of the HDR itself.
If you are using Specular Material for glass, you can try to use the glossy architectural glass version with Falloff node.
Another way is to avoid the investigation and drastically reduce the GI Clamp value in the Path Tracing kernel to something like 10 or below. You should see the noise going away quickly after few samples
