they look good, but I'd like to see some of the outdoor scenes in Pathtracing ( even if you don't like em ), that one in the harbor with all the boat masts looked off, and I think in a pathtracing image, (with some tweaking on exposure and gamma curve), it wouldn't look so off.

hi there again
here is a comparison of pathtacing and directlight ,and i think it proofs my point:
direct-light looks better.
I did not cook it for to long because you can see the different already
I mentioned in a previous topic that i think the colour bleeding with pathtracing is wrong.
the umbrella in my scene should never reflect that much green ,this is not natural.
maybe i am doing something wrong .does anybody think the same ?
cheers

Actually, the pathtracing works as it should.
You should first judge the color and brightness and gamma of the grass texture.
When the sky it at top, say 12:30 you can never take picture of a grass that bright.
Regarding photography you should increase the f-stop.
Secondly and more importantly your grass looks like a basic plane primitive with texture.
So in real life there is no such thing. There should be hundered thousands of grass with blade like structures.
So there would be nearly no perpendicular faces towards underneath the umbrella, to create such over color bleed.
We all happen to know that unbiased renderes are physically correct renderers.
What we should do is to provide much detail in model. With the correct material properties, Photorealistic images would be created easly with the help of speedy octane

yes the interior is all 3d.
you don't need any other light source then the sun .the only thing at the time with octane is , you have
to remove the glass material and then you get very nice interior shots with sunlight.
cheers
