Hey guys, I am slamming my head against the wall on this. I can not get a good looking atmosphere haze in octane 3. Everything i try in the settings for the scattering node plugged into the medium input on the daylight node gives me these washed out flat looking results.

I haven't touched this feature, but could it be related to which kernel you render with?

I've been able to get something decent with the lighting by adjusting the scale and phase (scattering direction) of the scattering medium. Phase values of 0.5 to 0.99 tend to give less hazy results. A good example is this image (see below for link) that was posted pre version 3:

its tough to get good looking distant haze. Im still messing with it.... think we need a dedicated sky haze node or something. lol

There is a new distance option in environment node, daylight node and texture environment node which you have to set to fit the scale of your scene.
