Has anyone made any movies with Blender/Octane?
Thanks.

Very short ones for now, not from software complications, but my own artistic limitations. But yeah, it works great!

check the competitions forum, many animations have been submitted, some made with blender.
No 'movie' has been made yet though, the animation capable plugins for blender and other apps have not been around for long, they are quite new.

I know there are a lot of Blender users here and as Radiance said, some of the animations done so far have been with blender, along with other 3d apps. I've been looking at the older blender open movies recently and have been trying to piece together Elephant's Dream and Big Buck Bunny to see if I can do a small render of one or two of the scenes.

We'll see. I haven't had much luck thus far getting the BBB files to transfer properly. The ED files are somewhat loading, but I need to do a lot to them as their file structure is odd and materials aren't transfering completely right. It is just a small project I am doing for the heck of it right now. Sintel might be a little better as the files are more current within blender.
Blender is a great program. I really like the the UI in comparison to other 3d apps. But feature wise the other apps have certain things blender can't touch yet. Can't have it all I guess. I'm not against commercial apps either, and I have plenty on my systems. Its a tool.
I'll post shots of which ever blender project I decide on once I am able to dive deeper into the thought. Siggraph is coming up soon and I am getting everything setup for that.
