- Operating System: Win 7
- Amount of RAM: 16Go
- Graphics Card: Titan X
- Nvidia driver version: v359
- DAZ Studio version: 4.8
- OctaneRender for DAZ Studio version: 2.23.4850 (jun 2015)
Thanks. May I recommend using the latest 2.24.2 release in the TEST thread in this forum.

I spent some time looking at the code - to see what is triggered this log message, and it is not particularly clear. It is triggered when the NVidia driver is in a NVAPI_GPU_PERF_PSTATE_P0 state - however, I could not find out what this actually means from the NVidia documentation.

Are you using the Titan as your Windows display adapter too?

I think the best option is if I disable this error from the log.

yes, the titan is also the display card.
i've not seen any performance issue otherwise, its just the *degradation* message that scared me a bit :)

Not sure if this helps:

http://docs.nvidia.com/gameworks/conten ... be117f637e

Code: Select all

DESCRIPTION: This API retrieves all performance states (P-States) 2.0 information.

P-States are GPU active/executing performance capability states. They range from P0 to P15,
with P0 being the highest performance state, and P15 being the lowest performance state. Each
P-State, if available, maps to a performance level. Not all P-States are available on a given system.
The definition of each P-States are currently as follow:

P0/P1 - Maximum 3D performance
P2/P3 - Balanced 3D performance-power
P8 - Basic HD video playback
P10 - DVD playback
P12 - Minimum idle power consumption
