Anyone used or seen this (new to me) 3D people provider? I have downloaded their FREE sample but am having trouble getting a good node tree to accomodate all the textures/spec maps etc.

This would be a nice addition if we could use what they provide in their textures to be able to use with Octane with believable results. Anyone want to give it a shot?

No arch viz people interested I guess. I gave it my best shot and was "ok" certainly doable but nothing that spectacular. Oh well...maybe someone will run across this and know how to route some nodes! :)

They look very good but kinda expensive, single model 50+ EUR. Hmm even with bundle discount seems too expensive for still shot people. So even if you buy 16 people bundle and get 40% discount it would still be over 500 EUR for that :(.

Here is quick octane version. Looks decent even if i can't isolate skin/shoes as i would like and stuff like with VRAY multisub materials. OBJ has no materials/textures applied when loaded and it has only 100k model in OBJ demo.

Lewis, thanks and I agree with your comments about the pricing...but I have not seen others that were this good looking and with such assortment. Of course there are the AXYZ people that are similar or even better in resolution potentially (have not purchased them) They have posed and rigged (or T Pose Ready).

Just ran across these and wondered what could be done.... Did you just put the diffuse layer on? I was able to get the shoes and fabric isolated with the alphas given. Tweaked their amount with a color adjustment node and got a decent look...but was not able to do anything special with the skin or hair....

Thanks again for the effort and opinion on the models...Would be better if they were even less expensive as a bundle!

I've put diffuse, normal map and clip/alpha maps but since it's all single surface it was hard to get isolated skin/hair stuff. I've used mixer material and multiply texture materials in Octane nodes but not got control near the Vray one. Although it's not looking bad even this way it would be nice to get some setup which can do it way as Vray submaterials can.

can you post screengrab of node flow how you isolated shoes so they can be reflective and not rest of body ? Diid oyu used more than single surface (OBJ is single surface for whole mesh)?

thanks

Yea I'm not familiar with how VRay works or Submaterials so I have no reference. Here is what I have so far. It's not bad but certainly not VRay Quality and maybe not worth $50 a piece if we can't get the detail/materials looking real nice. You'll notice a bit of gloss to the fabric and more to the shoes. I used a color correct node to dull down the amount that surface reflected and used it as an alpha as well. Quite messy...but seems to get a bit closer....

Ahh yes, I keep forgeting we can plug in texure into Amount pin :).

Thanks for share i'll try to check it more closely later on. I was using glossy and diffuse materials so i can plug in skin into glossy and diffuse for fabric.

I was very strongly interested in this until I noticed that 95% of the models are of white people. Our movie has people from all over the world so I'm not sure there's a point for me to even download the free lady...
