Hi Everyone,

Need a bit of help with motion blur inside Max (Version 2.2). I have a project with 2 cameras where the first camera is showing motion blur properly, but once I switch over to camera 2 it completely disappears. I cross checked between the two camera's properties and everything looks identical so i'm not sure what I am missing. I duplicated the first camera (the one displaying MB) and the duplicate was displaying blur as well. Thanks for any help!

Ok i'm really stumped on this one. I no longer get motion blur in perspective or camera view in octane w/o enabling vertex motion blur on a object. When i do that the motion blur duration has no effect. The thing is I have a project originally created with octane 1.2 then upgraded to 2.0. In this project I have a camera which works properly (displays mb and duration changes in real time) but any new camera i create only shows motion blur with the object blur turned on. I cross referenced everything (modifiers, octane & object settings) and both cameras seem identical. Any thoughts out there? Max 2014

Update: Figured out that motion blur was working with the one camera because it was animated (moving slightly backward). If i understand this correctly the camera has to be moving in order to generate mb?

Update #2: So apparently i'm a newbie who just doesn't like to read  . In case anyone else is pounding their head against the wall as to why motion blur is not showing maybe this can help (official documentation seems kind of scanty on this subject). Camera motion blur was present since version 1 of octane, but requires the camera to move. Version 2 brought object and vertex motion blur, but you have to close and reopen the viewport anytime you enable the effect (right click on the object and "octane setting"). Also, be sure if you want to add motion blur to particles (i.e. rain) to enable vertex on the pf event not the source. Hope this helps any new octane users like myself!
