How to tile/Wrap a texture outside the UV borders like the wrap U and Wrap V in native maya's place2dTexture node?

this is what happens when I try to do this in Octane:

This is the UV layout in maya:

in maya/mentarlray native place2dTexture works perfectly.

Please help.

I am pretty sure this is just a display error, It should still render correctly. But the node you are looking for is a Transform 2D. Click on the transform section of your texture and add a texture 2D node, scale it to .5 for twice the texture resolution.

very odd. Just curious why you're using an octane projection node in your material? I've never used the octane projection node in my materials and have never had an issue with the stretching outside the 01 space. does it still do this when you remove that node?

You are right, octane knows how to handle this. the stretching artifacts are from an export setting in Speedtree software that I'm exploring now.
I use `octaneUVprojection` to select a UV set from a multiple of UV sets attached to a mesh.

Thanks for the help :)
