hi

i'm trying to create a worn leather like the one on the attached picture leather.jpg

if the leather has been worn, i guess it gets quite 'glossy' - but i can't seem to figure out how i get the glossy effect like the one on leather.jpg

i have created a mixed material
- leather a (glossy material)
- leather b (glossy material), darker (adjusted via gamma)
amout is mixed via an 'dirt' image.

does anyone have an advise?

thanks :-)

I suggest you put the chair in a studio lit environment, rather than in the default plain daylight scenario. This will ensure that you can see reflections and glossiness much easier, and you will also have a much easier time working out what needs to be altered in the materials. With a daylight scene, your reflections and the glossiness will be hard to differentiate due to the extremely flat lighting and lack of highlights and light direction to make the most of your shader.
