I'm hoping we'll have an update sometime this week even if it's just some bug fixes and not the final release.

I hope so as well. and if a new build doesn't come at least some sort of update on where we sit. There is one thing about this kinda sketch happening for open source or free software but considering we are paying $300 for the required standalone just to use this $100 plugin that doesnt really work i think we deserve a bit more love. In hindsight Otoy should probably not be charging for this beta software yet till it works.

Pretty sure development would have stopped 2 years ago if that was how things were handled. Otoy could survive without the nominal monies us Daz folks bring to the table, but not sure the dev would have kept going without it.

The way I solve some "blank" materials is just use auto materials. It happens to most of Aeon Soul's products that I have to manually reset them all.

Whatever you do don't burn out on it. t_3 already has been working on the next release so it may be best to wait for the next release. Maybe use 1.x for now?

i meant i voluntarily applied blanks to see if the artefact remained, and its does (those concentric circles)

I believe the concentric circles are an artifact of the ray epsilon value. It usually happens for me if the value is locked because I am using a preset. Setting it to auto (can't remember the setting for such in version 2.x) usually fixes it, if not, adjust it manually. There are a few threads regarding it, just search for ray epsilon and something should pop up if you need manual suggestions. Certain meshes are very prone to being sensitive to this value, and they are not all related in any identifiable way that I've found, but adjust the ray epsilon always fixes it for me.

Wanted to report back that this is fixed in 5th release. Thanks.
