FIXES:
- geometry placements did use the wrong rotation order which resulted in misplaced geometry due to nested rotation.
- a bug could lead to a crash under specific circumstances during node type changes.
- trying to start animation rendering caused the plugin to crash right away because of a forced exception that i had forgotten to remove; note: this area might need some additional work though.
- in the color dialog it was not possible to drop new colors to the user presets.
- when clicking textures-, system- or network-tab during rendering of v1.2 scenes, this could freeze ds because of not applied maps and thus missing vram stats (and a missed initialization of the total vram, which is displayed there, that caused a loop to run a few billion iterations
).
- the first returned image when using a new camera was off-focus most of the time, since the auto-focus needed at least one update cycle to lock in; this is now corrected by taking over the dz camera focus to the octane camera when it is created (auto focus of course is still active afterwards - when set).
- as of ds 4.7 beta the ds internal camera property indexes are changed; thus some connections between the dz camera and the oc camera are broken. the plugin now tries to identify these properties by name (so hopefully daz didn't change also the naming scheme).
- when loading template materials (from scenes or preset) texture maps were not connected internally (even if the wiring in the node graph was in place); this could have affected old and new format scenes and (template) presets.
- after loading v1.2 scenes/presets materials were rendered white.
CHANGES:
- added the sky map pin to the daylight environment.
- when changing material node types, the new materials are now pre-configured (i.e. a populated roughness pin).
- when a displacement node is created the "texture" pin is pre-configured with an empty grayscale image.
- a button right of the "Nodegraph Editor" button in the mat tab allows to temporarily show the node type ddboxes there - this is still in the means of "quick edit"; be aware that changing node types in complex materials without examining the wiring in the node graph my lead to unexpected results.
- a new button left to the node rgb selector allows quick access to the user preset colors (which can be saved in the color dialog).
- when selecting rgb color nodes there is now a big color wheel directly accessible in the node editor pane (since there usually is plenty unused space).
there is still a number of things to do, like...
- collecting texture map properties (i.e. vram counting) after v1.2 scene loads doesn't work.
- a nbr. of things with copy & paste and a few material specific methods need to be completed.
- the values menu (with a pretty cool undo/redo feature) needs to be finished.
- instances need to be fixed, also geo grafting needs additional care.
- full support for LIE / layered images needs to be implemented.
- probably another few (hopefully) minor annoyances here and there.
INSTALLATION:
along with the last installer i had updated the (3rd party) packager to the latest version, what may have been the cause for problems on windows 8.1; this setup file is now using the previous version again - please try if you can get it to run without checking the compatibility options.
