ou, agree that PT version looks way better! =)
Yeah, please export the scene so we could play too. Would be very nice as not everyone have Cinema4d..pluss even if we do get trail..we only get like obj..at least basic scene would save a lot of time. I'd like to try to get as near as possible to original look, just to test the time =) CPU vs GPU..as Corona Guys claiming this engine is vary fast..

I'm not sure if I can share this scene here in different format so I gave you a link in your PMglimpse wrote:ou, agree that PT version looks way better! =)

Can you converter c4d to obj or ocs/orbx? But ocs/orbx is recommended. (may send to PM)
Because I don't have Cinema 4D and I have OR standalone demo 2.06.

Hi guys,
Corona is really good renderer on many aspects. But you should learn the our tricks and use better the Octane
There is my tests. First is 4 min. and little noisy, second is the state of render after 10min. Difference is some camera imager parameters and little octane post effect. Second image shows the most parameters.
It's possible to do more speedups with additional tricks. But i think it's ok for a comparison.

.. my tests.
Actually I don't even think that Corona could be faster, so I was curious to make a test with Octane with the same scene too.
It's unbiased engine & on GPUs these should render faster then on CPUs, considering available compute power.
P.S. what kernel You've used for nigh shot? =) it came really pleasant.
Hi!
I would also like to ask for a link.
I'm using Octane for quite a while (3yrs to be precise) but still haven't got the courage to post anything on the forum yet. I'm still not satisfied with the results. Mainly due to lack of time to develop my skills. But this scene would be a great start for faster development

DL
4k - after 2-3 minutes its pretty much done, after 10 minutes 6k samples, after 14 minutes with some region render there is no noise
PT coming soon.

If you take into the comparison the cost of one i7 CPU and fairly fast GPU then I think Corona would be a winner here. Still I prefer Octane for it's interactivity and quality. Corona's interactive viewport is going to be implemented in the future so maybe then it can be usefull as Octaneglimpse wrote:aoktar wrote: ...
