I considering of running a second network just for Octane distributed as most of our computers have 2 network ports. Karba do you think its possible to tell Octane to use a specific IP or network port?
We are finding the same thing. Our GB network is slowing things down. On very complex scenes, it may even take 30-45 minutes for 10 net gpus to 'bite'. When they do bite, the performance increase is not as fast as it should be.

We are assuming it's got to be our network speed. We are about to upgrade to 10gb to see if that helps.

Thanks for the insight 3dgeeks. Will keep you posted on progress.

Best,
