octane blasts my mind every day, but as your asking, here are a few things i'd whish for.

+1 for the filter thing, where hue/saturatio/contrast/brightness and so on of an image texture can be tweaked by slider controls!
this would be great!

will there ever be a speed improvement in the PT-engine? with SSS materials noisefree images takes veeery long!

vray-like relective-, refractive-, gi- and visible environment would be great!

make objekts visible or invisible for ligths and reflections /refractions (compositing like)

what about lens flares? would this be possible?

front and backside mapping?

If I had just one vote, it would probably be for (fast) volumetrics. But some great ideas throughout this thread.

I'm with Phil. Volumetrics is sorely missing and I know it can be done in post but it would be so cool to do it in Octane. Even if it starts with just some haze and maybe some ground fog controls. I would love that.

Thanks!

And I'm with Alec. And yes, even if fog could be brought in first, and not necessarily be part of the full volumetrics package (which would lengthen wait for fog, right?), that would rock. I would much rather have fog in my hands sooner, even if it pushed back smoke, fire etc by months, or even a year. Of course, if you guys banged out full volumetrics quickly, like you did with some of the 2.0 goodies, that would be the shizz. And if particles came at the same time... foo, I shouldn't dream that big...

Sorry matrix, someone beat you to it.. that link is another thread somewhere.
