a couple of other little things that you could check that will avoid crashing blender,
Use Lamp selected, but now lamp specified, or lamp specified not in the scene,
and the same as above for the camera.

you should also check to see if it's a sun lamp...James wrote:a couple of other little things that you could check that will avoid crashing blender,

Hm, lights...
I can use all lights.
Point, infinity(direction/sun) and spot.
Spot and infinity have a direction.
And for the point, the direction to the worldcenter you can use.
I should it update...

radiance: does it really matter if it is a sun lamp in blender? it will always be a sun in Octane, surely any lamp that you can see which direction it is pointing it decent?

I think the sunlamp should be best as it's what it's meant to be and you can easily aim it due to it's long direction line in blender's UI.
BTW -> for ROUBAL, today we optimized the loading of animation rendering. octane no longer opens the ocs project and then relinks but it relinks straight away, so it loads and voxelises only once, making the time from frame export to first image much shorter (2x).
This will be in the final version for release tomorrow.
