Hi
I'm new user of octane renderer.
How can i check performance of my hardware.
Currently i'm using GTX 780 ti 3GB.
I have seen there is Ms/sec value, but its depends from render scene.
In Cinema4d plugin it is show value from 3.0 to 9.0 in different scenes.
I download from forum some benchmark scene and there i standalone renderer thes value was 50.0.
Is stand alone renderer is faster from plugin version (i dont counting voxelizing part)?

Hi,
welcome here. I'll try do some explanations about structure. Performance is nearly same if you have same structure.
But plugin does different organisation on structure. It depends to your scene and settings.
Render settings has two main system on animation rendering. Send all scene data and incremental updates.
First does a collection of objects as a single mesh. This is fastest performance condition for octane.
Second method, this can do some complex scene structures depending of methods: Faster rendering/faster updates.
Faster renderings, does similar but collect objects is in same mesh group to a single mesh.
Faster updates, export all objects as seperated meshes. This is slowest for rendering, but allows very quick preperation times and very fast updates on objects. This is exactly same method which is used by Live Viewer in interactive rendering.
Also there is a converted benchmark scene in samples package. Pls check 1.52.1 thread
