Yes, but it seems, that it works only with texture images and not with procedural stacked gradient shaders, etc.
That´s why I´m asking also for the Tools4D-SplineShader support.

Is this generally possible ?

can't work with octane shaders. It's a cpu implementation in plugin. Why do you want this? you can generate some backgrounds with perspective project over some plane object, or so

i think, integration of Tools4D-SplineShader is not possible. Our limitation is gpu shading, we cant use cpu shaders which are not based on uv mapping

Thanks for info.
I´ve used the VG object for easy blending scenes inside C4D with animated shaders (black+white or splines).

see the very simple example:

Hello!

Same issue with the liveDB since the last update. Nothing appears in the miniatures window and MSG:loop message in the status bar.
With Win 7 64 and R15.

1.52.1? I suppose that's fixed. Can you show me a ss? Also can you try to clean the folder of user category?

Aoktar, i have two suggestions:

1. With the RefShader (very usefull!!), it's sometimes difficult to identify where is the original shader in the materials. Even if it's possible to change it inside RefShader node itself, it could be usefull to be able to give a unique name to every shaders (shown in the RefShader field) or a button to go to the original shader.

2. It could be also usefull to create an "empty container for RefShader" (with a unique name or a button like suggestion 1) to be able to create a reference with a complex structure (or not) and be able to completely change the content without loosing the reference. By sample, now if i use an ImageTexture as reference for a RefShader, i'm unable to change it into a MixTexture without loosing all the references.

What do you think about these suggestions? :)

i'm trying to figure your requests. Refshader is a special node which has only a link to other shader. So, there can be a base shader. Ex. you have a diffuse texture and wnat to use it in bump or so, put a refshader to bump and drop diffuse texture to link of refShader. I suppose you know that. As a result of this operand, you have a real shader and a linkage on bump slot. If you click to link you'll see real shader. So i don't think it 's possible to give different names

for second, it's that if you change the node. c4d can broke connection. I have no idea about this at the moment

Yes, that was 1.52.1, curiously I launched c4d again to take the ss but it's working correctly now. Maybe it was a problem with the DB?

if it's now working, that should be server problem
