I'm trying out the new feature which allows me to use the 'T' texture in the sufrace editor however I'm unsure how to connect it.
Any help on this greatly appreciated.

Teh UV node is for objects that do not have an existing UV. If you're object has one (which it looks like that does), you don't use it.
