Basically, the easiest way to do this is to watch the video below, you will give you a better idea of how to do this.

Then export the object back into poser and position on your head. Basically, is as easy as that

But the novice users. This would probably give some problems. Zbrush is not the easiest thing in the world to use.

The other option is to use the Daz studio packages created a hair there , then export as an object and reimport into

Poser.

As I said, I'm very disappointed that no one at Smith Micro's or anywhere else is really bothered with this technology.

I certainly would buy a poser related product as I think quite a few other people would just for hair

And if we can certainly crate this on Daz studio, then it can undoubtedly be done poser

For that render, do you grow the hair in ZB and then render in OctaneRender for Poser? If so, could you share the ZB fibre hair settings pls?

Paul

Chopper this is great. I have almost no idea what to do, I exported my character via GoZ and I managed to paint hair But I was wondering, how bout explaining it the way you do it :)

This quite a few ways you can do this, but you really learning to start learning Zbrush.
There are quite a few tutorials regarding this. Unfortunately, I'm very short of time at the moment and really don't have time to make a tutorial.

But it is very well documented . If you Google it.

Or you have option 2

This is only currently available to Daz studio. But it gives a nice URL interface that allows you to paint very easily hair on the models. It's only a price of $49. In quite honestly, it's worth it's weight in gold.

If you want realistic hair. It's not as complex is Z brush that you can more or less get the same effects.

Maybe the second option if you very unsure of Zbrush

Chopper, skip the tutorial, I have figuerd out how to create the hair in Zbrush. my issue is, do I use a scull cape or the whole V4, secondly, how do i export it to Zbrush, as a .GoZ or OBJ, and do I import it Back as a GoZ or obj and how do i fit it then to v4? I cant seem to find a tutorial explaining just that.

Seriously, you really need to look it tutorials on Zbrush is a brush is a complicated beast and it's not as simple as saying do that do this. Taking time to go and get is a brush tutorial for the basics.

Everything is imported via obj from Z brush to poser and vice versa.

But I would spend maybe a day or two learning the basics of Zbrush first.

example export the first style as OBJ
then return back to GOZ the hair and export another style as OBJ
this way you can create morphs from them

Zbrush Fiber , the structure of the polygons etc.. what is different is the shader in DS what render them realistic but the base geometries are just the same with the difference that you can create amazing hair and render them in without to worry about the polygons count

just make sure the base hair in ZBRUSH are exported at the same level of subdivision, as poser

Don't run before you can walk. (You will thank me for this later. If you take time to learn it, you will get better results in the long run)

Would be interesting to see of Firefly can render this ZB fibre hair - if so, there would be a huge market for these hair props.

Somewhere Im missing something, and yeah I know im a pain in the you know what place. I managed to export my v4 to Zbrush like all the tutorials say, funny how many there is explaining how to export your character into Zbrush but none explaining how to export it back to poser. This is what I manage to do. I export my character without changing any default settings. I then paint the head and apply the hair fiber, I can then comb the hair and style it and so forth. my problem lies here, How do I get it back in poser so that i can uses the character as I did before i sent it to Zbrush. I import it as a OBJ file but then there she is. stiff as a whatshamacallit, no texture no no bending, just this OBJ file. So Am I understanding it wrong?, Am I missing a setting? This is so frustrating.

Man problem is that you're impatient. You're trying to do something that took me two months to learn. in 2 days

The problem sounds like its groupings within Zbrush. Or again, it could be subdivision level that you not exporting right.

You would have learned this in the basics of zbrush.

Keep in mind that you cannot subdivide the mesh in Zbrush or you will not be able to import your obj, since you've changed the vertice information.

Don't mess with the poly count or anything like that in Zbrush. It'll make a mess for sure.

Your best bet if you do want to do fibre mesh hair and you want to do it you don't want to take the time to learn and sit down and read Zbrush. Without the hassle of learning

go buy this product . It would do exactly the same Z brush, but very much easier for you to understand and export easly. with no hassle
