Hey,

I ran into an issue here.
Seems like Octane camera target doesn't keep it's position.
When target is moved or animated camera randomly "shakes" and it makes the final animation...well shaky.
Could you take a look at this? At the moment it's impossible to animate Octane cam focal point.

A workaround could be an option to pick focal object under Octane Render Settings. That way we could use standard camera targets or some other custom objects.

Thanks,
Suv

I made a quick video to demonstrate this. (Please watch in full screen, then the effect is more noticeable.)
Left one is standard Max cam and right one is the Octane cam. Both have the same animation controllers so the animation is 100% the same.
See how the Octane cam shakes randomly?

Octane team, I really need feedback on this issue.
Is this in your to do list and is there an estimation of when it's going to be fixed?

Why are you ignoring it? :?:
Not "interesting" enough bug to fix?

I would be really, really grateful !
Because of this bug I can't use Octane for my animation project.

I ran into this bug some time ago too but thought it was my crappy skills with animations and not the tool. Good to know it wasnt me. I used the standard cam then for the project....

With standard cam you can't animate the focal point, cause there is no way to tell Octane to use standard cam target as focal point.
Or at least I didn't find how.
In my animation camera moves away from the subject and with standard cam the subject goes blurry because distance from focal point changes.
Using auto focus is not an option because it's uncontrollable.
