I'm still struggling to get it to work under Octane 3.
- I can get .ABC from realflow and stitch them properly
- When I try rendering them in Octane for Max it does not appear.
- When I Load via VRay Proxy it renders, but no motion blur no matter what (even with vertex ticked)
- When I export a max scene with such alembic it shows up in Octane Stand Alone, but no motion blur
Can anyone recommend a step-by-step workflow to do RF to Max (set up scene) to Octane Standalone that renders with mblur?
Anyone succeeded with rendering RF particles meshed under max with Frost and with proper motion blur?
Thanks!
OctaneRender™ Standalone 2.21.1

Hi KiznyVisual,
I shall quote some remarks about 3dsMax and MB:
motion blur can work using 2 different ways :
_Using 2 frames
Works only if topology doesn't change, witch is usually not the case for particles that get created by an emitter, and deleted at the end of their lifespan
setup: enable "Vertex motion blur" in octane object properties
-Using velocity information
Not working with RealFlow. Unfortunatelly, the velocity information is not available to other plugins, and no mesh channel ID seems to work for octane "Velocity channel ID" ..
Should work with other plugins, having a valid velocity channel
Setup: enable "Object motion blur" in octane object properties, and set Velocity Channel ID >=2,
For PFlow, there are more information in max sdk, and I may be able to get the velocity, if it's not available as a channel ID
Work around : use VDB
VDB can have velocity, and using it for motion blur works fine with octane, there seems to be external tools that convert data to VDB, so it is currently a good work around any motion blur issues.

Anyway check in 3dsMax forum section for more information.
