Nvidia 590 GTX : 6.30Ms/sec

With Release Candidate 2.48 on my GTX 570
I´m back to the middle at 3.12 Ms/sec

Interesting read for us.

Just to see if things have slowed down with beta 2.48: Could you please post the render times for 1000 samples per pixel for beta 2.46b, beta 2.47 and beta 2.48? The scene settings and image size should be as specified in the initial post.

i've done that test marcus asked for (on a gtx590 - single core of course):

2.46 ... 00:03:29
2.47 ... 00:02:59
2.48 ... 00:03:00

and dual cores

2.48 ... 00:01:30

tested twice & got the exact same results. that one second (or less) shouldn't hurt imo...
btw: the Ms/sec count was ~3.65 with 2.47 and ~3.34 with 2.48

Octane Render 2.46 @ 1000 Samples: 3:20 min
Octane Render 2.47 @ 1000 Samples: 2:48 min
Octane Render 2.48 @ 1000 Samples: 2:48 min
Octane Render 2.48b @ 1000 Samples: 2:48 min

Overall great speed improvement!

just added my data for a GTX560Ti 2Gb running 2.48b

2.22 Ms/sec and 4:28 to reach 1000s

is it not too much compared to Silverwing's 570 above?
480cores*168s/384cores = 210 -> should I expect 3:30 mins then?
