price performance wise: 4x 590s get about 30ms, and cost about 400 euros a peace, that`s 1600,-.
ofcourse there are other advantages, vram, power usage, but budget designers will have to choose i think

For me one Titan would be cool enough. Just in case if there are heavy scenes flying in. But I can wait a bit until the price of a Titan drops to 70 percent in a couple of months

Before, the VRam was always up to 2 GB. No big changes for multiple years.
Then there was the 580 with 3GB followed by the 680 with for and the Titan with 6GB.
That sets a new standart for VRam consumption.

Question: why do you post the performance of the cards summed together?
It makes everything more confusing, and there is loss of information.
I beleive one should post the performance of each individual card, they should add up to the correct value, when summed all together.

Pathtracing: 7.78Ms/s (no shadows).
Almost twice as fast as my oc GTX580 (3.96Ms/s).
