Hi, two years ago, Otoy said that AMD gpu support is in development, last year, Otoy said its on the point to release at least a pre pre release... We are diving deep in 2018 and nothing about AMD support.
Personally, I'm tired of the promises...

Everyone we worked with at AMD to try to make this a public release - Raja (CTO), Roy Taylor, etc - left the company in the last 6 months. Not good. The AMD Windows build of 3.07 is there, but we are not going to repeat this process for V4. We need MacOS - see the V4 release video.
As for promises - You weren’t promised a release date for V4 XB1 or out of core geo, AI light system, or a free upgrade for octane 4, yet you got these delivered to you two weeks ago - so let’s call it even.

AMD support or at least headless rendering is very important and should be a priority

+1 one for headless rendering. Have a bunch of Mac clients and a multi-GPU render workstation. Shame we can't use our Mac clients with headless rendering as promised by Otoy for last year. (Yes, checked with Otoy rep before purchasing Mac clients and was told 3.1 would feature this and it "should" arrive summer 2017.............)

Support macOS AMD, if for the only reason that the people who will use Octane on this platform are high fliers and evangelists.
There are 4x more Android users than iOS users, but iOS users spend 5x on software purchases than Android users do. The math is a lot more dramatic with PC users.

Just a reminder that you guys can create feature requests or support the already existing ones from other users via the feature request system.
https://render.otoy.com/requests/
This is what we use to keep track of what you need in a more organized way so things don't get lost and everyone's feedback is taken into account.
A request for AMD support is already there BTW:
