Before posting a bug report, please check the following:
1. That the issue has not already been disclosed
2. That the issue is specific to this plugin, and not Octane in general (Try reproducing it in Standalone)
Bugs related to the Octane Engine itself should be posted into the Standalone Support sub-forum.


All bug reports should include the information below, along with a detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce it.
A. Operating System, including version (i.e. Win 7, OSX 10.11.2, Ubuntu 14.04, etc.)
B. Graphics Card(s) model (i.e. GTX 580 - 3GB, TITAN, etc.)
C. RAM Capacity (i.e. 6 GB)
D. Nvidia driver version (i.e. 7.50, 7.5.22)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version, if installed (i.e. 2.24.2, 2.23, etc.)
F. OctaneRender plugin version (i.e. v2.25 - 2.21)
G. Host application version, including build number if available (i.e. 3ds Max 2016 Build 18.0)
H. A detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce it (Include Screenshots or video capture), as well as an example scene if applicable.
I. Copies of the Octane Log window and Console window outputs (full text attached as a file to your post is recommended).


Please note that reports of issues inside existing threads will be ignored/removed, and reports may be closed if the reporter does not respond to subsequent queries in the thread.

Not sure if this is a bug but my live DB has worked since reinstalling Octane a few days ago, then I come to open the Live DB today and it crashes every time. Tried a few times and also restarted machine etc...Drivers are up to date and I'm running Octane in Cinema 4D r17 on Mac.

I've tried reinstalling incase any files got corrupted but still the same problem. I've tried installing the beta versions but I just get login errors so I reverted back to the stable.

Can i see bugreport.zip? Did you changed localdb path?

Sorry for the late response.

Bugreport.zip in the attachment.

Im on the current stable release, as I can't seem to use the BETA versions as I get login issues, maybe that would fix this if I could get it working.

We don't have BETA versions. I just make TEST or STABLE releases. Pushing that to STABLE depends to my tests and user feedback reliability.
Here propably you have a bug which i found but not yet fixed. Try to recreate LOCALDB path if you delete it.

Is this localDb found in the ~Library/OctaneRender/LocalDb? Or should this be in the cinema 4d plugins directory? If the former is true, I already have one in there.

Propably yes. Can't check now. Btw bug is related with a parameter in drawmsg function in my codes. A category parameter try to access to NULL value without checking the condition. It happens when localdb is deleted. This is why i asked. Pls wait until tomorrow, i'll send you a fixed test build to check this.

Thanks Aoktar unfortunately it's saying my license was deactivated unable to find license..

Are you sure this is for the VR version, i'm on a subscription license.
