scene loading for geometry fast enough. What do you mean exactly?
Right now I've a scene with not many polies but quiet some highres texture materials (and some particle stuff) and the scene loading differs from 30 seconds to over a minute. It's the firt project I'm using 2018 and maybe my memory plays a trick on me, but I think v4 was faster. And as I said: I recall Jules talking about much faster scene loading... but I guess this was said about 2018 then?

I think material loading is taking time. Not much to do, try to use less compressed textures or smaller's. Also check log outputs in Console window. It will show what takes time.

Aoktar,

I have observations on bugs. Do you want feedback on all features or only just the new features listed in the first post of the thread?

-cw

Vector displacement has lots of new possibilities. Multi-dimensional. Fun to play with.

-The round edges shading produces nice smoothed edges but looks bad on corners. I'm guessing this isn't the plugin but the core.

-The spotlight was passing through solid objects and produced counter-intuitive illumination. Test image is noisy because it was a 2-second render. Didn't test for noise.

-I received this strange error with an HDRI. (Though HDRIs usually have worked ok)

Nothing is directly about my part(plugin) but,
try accurate option for round edges

Can't say anything about spotlight. Core issue!

For hdri file, it seems also an C4D issue. Try if you can see with C4D's materials.
